This Asian-modern house incorporates angular plan geometries in response to site influences, as well as an animated collection of roof forms that surround the material palette of wood, stone, and traditional stucco. This residence backs up to open space and takes advantage of Indian Peak views by creating a "wedge" shaped plan. Features include curved metal roofs, steel and wood bowstring trusses and hand-hewn beams. The program included integrated seamless indoor/outdoor spaces, exploration of textured surfaces and an outbuilding that includes a workshop and apartment.
