This small residential addition for an artist takes the form of two rotated squares derived from the golden section proportions of the existing floorplan. This rotation guides visitors on a path illuminated by candle light through the surrounding forest, terminating at the functional and spiritual center of the home. The exterior blends polished contemporary materials with a natural sensibility reflective of the surrounding Black Forest.
